VaultPDF

Private PDF tools, right in your browser.

VaultPDF is the first Mesanix product: twelve focused tools for everyday document work, built so source files stay on the user's device.

Work with PDFs without handing them over

Many online PDF services begin by uploading a document to a remote server. VaultPDF takes a different approach. Its core workflows read, modify, render, and export files inside the browser, using the device that already holds the document. There is no account to create and no Mesanix document store to clear afterwards.

Choose the PDF task you need

Which page workflow should you use?

Merge or split

Use Merge PDF when separate files need to become one document. Use Split PDF when one document needs to become several files at defined page boundaries.

Extract or remove

Extract Pages creates a new document from the pages you select. Remove Pages exports the original document without the pages you mark for deletion.

Convert or prepare

Conversion tools move between PDFs and images. Preparation tools handle compression, numbering, watermarks, and signatures before a document is saved or shared.

How local processing works

  • The browser reads the file selected from the user's device. The source document is not submitted to a Mesanix upload endpoint.
  • PDF parsing, page rendering, document changes, and export run in browser memory using the application code already loaded on the device.
  • The completed PDF, image, or ZIP is handed to the browser's normal download, save, open, or share flow.
  • Closing or reloading the workspace clears the active in-memory document state; VaultPDF does not provide a server-side document history.

Practical limits of browser-based PDF work

Device resources matter

Processing uses the current device's CPU and memory. Large, scanned, or image-heavy PDFs can take longer and may exceed the resources available to an older phone or a memory-constrained browser tab.

Some files cannot be processed

Corrupt, empty, unsupported, or password-protected inputs can be rejected. VaultPDF is designed to explain the problem rather than silently produce an incomplete document.

Downloads vary by browser

Desktop browsers usually download generated files directly. Mobile browsers, especially iPhone Safari, may open the result or use the device's Files or share interface instead.

Compression has trade-offs

Compression results depend on the source PDF. Image-heavy files offer the clearest opportunity for reduction, while already optimized or mostly vector documents may shrink very little.

Privacy model

  • Core VaultPDF workflows do not send selected source documents to Mesanix or third-party services.
  • No account or profile is required to process a document.
  • Mesanix does not store a server-side copy of source files or generated outputs.
  • The browser still requests the site resources needed to run the application, but the selected document is not included in those requests.

Designed for dependable browser use

VaultPDF checks inputs before processing, reports unsupported files clearly, and keeps each workflow focused on one document task. The product is reviewed on current desktop and mobile browsers, including direct tool links, generated downloads, and common browser-specific save behavior. Device and browser differences can still affect very large files, which is why the practical limits above are stated plainly.
